Flamtronic was formed by John Hubbell, who was looking to create a situation to delve further into the rhythmic/melodic method deployed in his previous band, Shuttlecock.  It features his hybrid acoustic and electronic drum setup utilizing Mandala and Simmons electronic drums.  Joel Roberts and Brandon Boltz complete the line-up.

The first album, "something primate" is a collection of ten songs  written about prosaic, mundane, everyday life from an oblique and imagistic perspective.

Think a weird prog combination of Tortoise & Trans Am, with some Silver Apples thrown in for good measure.
